Thanks for reaching out to us! You'll need to measure the depth of the bottom shoe on the balance to determine the correct series. The Series 380 has a 1" shoe and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" shoe; take a look at the diagram below for reference.

Once you've determined the series, you'll need to confirm the the length of the metal channel and the stamp/marking from it. If there aren't any stamps/markings, you'll need to obtain the exact weight of the sash.
