Caldwell block & tackle type window balance

Question

After going over the information on your site , I believe I have identified the balance that most closely matches the one I need to replace The pulley cord broke). However before ordering this item , I wanted confirmation that it was the proper one- it looks like a 385 series but I don't want to make a mistake.

The metal channel measures approximately 5/8" wide across the top rolled edge, the length of this metal is 20" and the top and bottom guides each have small flanges sticking out and most closely look like your 19-005 top and 15-004 bottom. The numbers 19 4 followed by IQ and Caldwell are stamped on the side.

I tried a number of times to talk to a company rep. but couldn't get through so I hope we can proceed this way.Thank you for your assistance. Richard

Hey, Richard. There's not much I can to confirm on my end. Your balance is 20" and likely has a stamp option of 1940, though you should weigh your window sash just to be sure that 1940 is appropriate. As for the Series, you are going to have to carefully compare the dimensions of our 19-005 and 15-004 to your own nylon attachments and use your best judgement.
