Can 4.5" link arm be replaced with 5" link arm?

Looks like 39-171 and 39-172 would replace my originals, except the link arm is 5" on those, and my originals are 4.5" at the most (maybe 4 3/8). Will it still work or will the arm interfere with the full closure of the window?

I might just buy one to see and report back.

Hello,

The length of the link arm could be a bit of an issue. Our operators might work as-is but, if not, you should be able to adjust the position of the bracket on the sash frame to make up for the difference. Thanks for posting!
