Can I use 70-048 for old screen?

Hoping you can answer this before I place my order...

I Have 22 windows that use this latch. Need to replace at least 25 if not all 44 latches.
I don't want to have new screens made, or take mine apart.

Can the new latch slip into the screen?

Or can this latch only be secured while building a screen as in the video?

Thanks for your great questions. You will need to pull out the screen spline and wire where you are attaching the 70-048 Malta screen latch and then roll the wire along with the spline back in the frame.
