Can a "2-piece" Pella Casement hinge be replaced with a one piece hinge?

My home was built in 1979. The hinges on my Pella casement windows consist of two pieces: the slider part and the arm part. They are separate components.

The two parts on the bottom hinge, for example, are the roller part (that slides in the track) and the arm which pivots as the window opens. They are each fastened to the bottom of the window separately.

All of the Pella hinges I see for sale are 'one piece' (the roller/slider is connected to the pivot point of the arm). Are the 'one piece hinges' interchangeable with 'two piece' hinges, assuming that the dimensions are the same?

Hey, John. I wouldn't advise trying to substitute with anything else. If you had any other window brand then that'd be another story, but Pella hardware is notoriously particular. It's very rare that substitutions work. I would suggest sticking with the same type you now have. You could run into problems trying to adapt the hinges.
