Can the 40-049 be switched to fit both left and right?

A quick learner from Jonesborough,TN says:
All illustrations show lockset in a left-hand opening door (door hinge on left side). I need lockset for a right-hand opening door (door hinge on right). Can replacement be changed by switching the inner and outer face plates and locks? What about the triangular latch that holds the door closed?

Yes, the Swisco 40-049 Mortise Lockset can be used for either left or right hand door. To change the latch from left to right (or right to left), loosen up the latch nose and turn it to the correct swing.
A home owner from Crawfordsville, AR 72327 says:
Looking for a tado-latao set. Not sure if this is the right second word but the first is. If I'm standing inside looking out, the hinges are on the right. I don't know if it's right or left.

Hello! I'm not sure what you have, unfortunately. The best place to start is with clear photos of the part in question. That will allow us to check our inventory for a possible match.
