Can the 80-006 be used as a limiter?

Question

I have a sliding glass door with the track on the outside. I'm not sure why anyone would design it this way, but this is good for Swisco- sells a lot of locks!!!

For the 80-006, I want to be able to allow the sliding glass door to open to a limit.,..say maximum opening is 4 inches. Can 80-006 be used for this, or is 80-006 designed only for complete closure?

Thanks for contacting us! I'm afraid the 80-006 cannot be used as a limiter. Perhaps you could use something like our 82-051. See the image below for how this can be used in such a way.
