Can the 84-104 replace my 84-142?

A quick learner from United States says:

I ordered rollers #84-142. They are exactly same as old one I removed from door except for one slight difference. Had trouble installing them, gave up. I watched video that really didn't help and also roller in video is different. In video roller #84-104. That part also is very similar but different spring. Can I use roller #84-104 in place of #84-142 Instead.

The spring clip in roller #84-142 broke or moves when I tried to install it. I am probably doing something wrong, I can't figure it out. Got very frustrated. So I can use your help in trying to figure it out. Thank you

I don't believe the 84-104 can substitute the 84-142. Can you go into more trouble as to why you couldn't install the 84-142? Where exactly are you running into issues? Could there be a size difference between the new and old roller housing?
