Can you help identify the pivot shoe in the photos
Hello there!
Thanks for reaching out to us. We'd be happy to help but we'll need more information. Can you show us a photo of an undamaged pivot shoe removed from the window? We would also like you to write out the thickness and width. Those details will help us narrow down some options.
Welllll, I took the pictures when I was on-premises but I am now back home 1500 miles away. If I had it removed and measured while I was there, I kinda wouldn't need to identify it.
I was hoping your expertise with the color and shape would identify it. My comparison to your catalog makes me think it is a 15-047. Same construction but mine has a blue lock block and yours is the white color of the pivot shoe. No other one in your catalog is as close a match but is the color-coding of the back block a defining qualification?
In some cases, the color of the brake pad does matter. A blue brake pad might be a hair thicker than the white pad on the 15-047 pivot shoe. However, that's not necessarily a deal breaker. If the dimensions match up then we think it's fine. Our thinking is: dimensions first, brake color second.
Roger that and thanks for the followup
I have about 25 windows in the building but I think I will start with 3 to prove the concept.
If I have it wrong, I will know when I remove the parts and can make corrections.
-Not your problem but I have a limited time frame to execute so I need to order parts now, and if I am wrong about the dimensions, I will return & reorder. If right, I am well on my way!
THanks again Emily
No problem! I'm happy to help. Let me know if you need anything else and good luck with the repairs!
