Can you join two Pella rain strips ,58-178 to seal a 60" window?

A quick learner from USA says:
After looking at the website. I am fairly confident that I need part 58-178 rain strip for my 22 year old Pella casement windows. The specs on the strip say it comes in 38inch strips. I don't think a single window I have is that short. Do you put 2 pieces together to seal a 60 in window?

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:
I believe the 58-178 strips are meant to cover the width of the window, and it sounds like you will be using them to cover the height. Can you confirm? Maybe send us some photos of your windows and the weather stripping you now have for us to take a look at.
A quick learner from Tucson says:
This customer never replied to Dave's question, but I'd still like an answer. I also have Pella casement windows, and I WOULD like to change the rainstrip on my vertical portions. My windows are 54" high, and even higher in some rooms.
Can these be combined? Or is there a longer version available?

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:
Hello! Yes, you could butt two 58-178 lengths together and trim off the excess, if necessary. Just confirm that the 58-178 is an exact match. Pella hardware is usually pretty specific, so if there are any differences (even minor), it may be important.
