Thanks for the additional photos. This worm gear for the crank handle has become stripped, which is the cause for the operational issues with the window.

To replace it, I suggest taking a look at the 39-348 Sill Mounted Awning Operator. These come equipped with the detach clips used to secure the 36-078 Shoe Stud (which is sold separately).

The track typically used with this operator and shoe is the 36-078B 26-3/4" Awning Operator Track.
