Cannot identify this sash balance

Question

Window will not stay open and the sash balance looks like this on both sides. I believe the coil is broken. I can't find any replacements that look like this nor information on how to replace this style. I added photo from top of sash as well.

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. Our 15-087 looks like a good match. Based on the 6 stamped on the housing, I recommend the S180-6 6-pound coil spring. You'll have to make your own cut-outs in the window track if your window doesn't have any existing ones. The video below will demonstrate the process.
