Cannot lock my door anymore

Question

a few days ago, i have ordered and received part # 82-069 door pull. unfortunately it is not solving the issue we have on a sliding patio door where we cannot lock the door any longer..

Perhaps it is the lock itself. See attached photos please. can you identify the lock part #? The screws are 3.75" o.c. and the lock itself is 3.25" tall.

to give you some context, i add two photos of the door pull, and two photos of the door frame with pull removed.

the issue is best described as follows: there is no tension in the lever that is part of the pull assembly, and so it does not function as intended.

It sounds like it could be a problem with the mortise lock. A good way to check is to remove your handle from the door, and then try to throw the mortise manually with a screwdriver. If you find yourself running into the same problem, then you've found your culprit. See our 82-218, I'm confident this will be a match.
