I am unable to unlock or open the Pella door going onto why deck. It has, I believe, your 82-400 Brass Atrium Door Lever Lockset. It appears that both the top and bottom pins are set so the door is solid closed.
I've removed the handles and cover from both sides of the door but can see nothing as the lockset is encased inside the door. Since I cannot open the door, what now?

If I'm understanding you correctly, your door is shut and locked and you're not able to unlock it. I would first try manually unlocking the internal mortise with a screwdriver. Hopefully that does it. If not, then you're in for quite the project. I don't think there's any way to get the mortise out aside from cutting it out. I would highly recommend contacting a local professional.
I've already tried the screwdriver trick ? it didn't budge.
How does one find a "qualified" professional?
If I were in your shoes, I'd go to a local mom and pop style hardware store and ask them to put you in touch with a handy person they trust. Bring them your handle, or a picture of your handle, and ask them if they know anyone familiar with this kind of hardware. I'm sure they have someone they can refer you to.
