I just got the window from salvage, no name anywhere but the spring part says 7.5 on the side.

Thanks for reaching out to us. We're happy to look into this. Can you remove the pivot shoe and show us a photo? I'm afraid it's too obscured by the window track. The video below will show you how to make a cut out in the window if there's not one already.

I don't think you carry the same housing that I have. The weight is 7.5 for the spring. 165 Egress Coil Balance. I hope the pics help.

These photos indeed help, thank you! Your pivot shoe resembles the 15-228. This is used with the 1/2" S160 and 3/8" S165 coil springs. Based on the shape of your old cover, I suspect the spring should be 1/2" wide. Can you measure the old spring band to confirm?
