Can't figure out the type of tilt latch my windows have

Quick Learner from Albuquerque, NM
This is a photo of one of the upper corners of my window. Based on my reading, I was expecting some sort of a latch release to allow window removal but I see no such things. Can anyone identify how to release my window from its frame from this photo? I'd certainly appreciate a breadcrumb or two. Thanks!

Hi there Doug!

Thanks for reaching out to us. The part shown here isn't a tilt latch, it's actually a top sash guide. We're happy to look into it but we'll need to see an undamaged version removed from the sash. We'd specifically like to see the front and side. Around the 0:30 second mark in the video below, we show how to remove a non-tilt window sash. Let me know if this helps.

Thank you Emily, this is very helpful. While I don't have time at the moment to pop out the window, I can confirm the existence of the take-out clips described in the video, which suggests you're on the right track. When I get a chance this weekend, I'll deploy the take-out clips, and see if the window releases when opened fully past the clips. I'll then post the requested photos for your analysis. Thanks much!
