Can't get the key out

Question

I just bought your 82-315 Keyed Lock and Housing, along with a mortise, secondary lock, and handle set.
It seemed to install well, but when I turn the key on the outside, I can't remove the key from the door. I can only return the key to the unlocked position, from the outside.
Is it the part's fault?

It sounds like the key cylinder tail is not synchronized with the lock. You might need to reinstall the key cylinder. Take a look at the related video below, this may help.
