Can't push the balance down

Question

Hi.  I tried pushing the balance Dow and it seems locked. I can raise the window. Any suggestions. The part number is 2440 on the balance.

It seems like you may have a broken top sash guide, which is used to keep the balance in place below the sash. If so, we'd need to see an undamaged guide removed from the other side or an identical window to compare to our inventory. Thank you!
