Any tips for removing the center bolt?

Question

I bought part number 40-150 and can not get the center bolt removed to fit my handle. The part is the exact replacement but I need the larger fitting.

Sure! You'll need to use a 3/32 Allen wrench to remove the set screw. After the set screw is removed, I usually tap the handle on a hard surface and the center spindle adapter should fall out.
