Top measures 1-7/16 x 1-1/8. overall height 1-11/16
width 5/8" under cap. 2 screw holes

Sounds like you need a top sash guide, but I'm not sure which one based on measurements alone. You'll need to remove an undamaged version of your sash guide from the window and show me a couple of pictures of it by itself. Specifically, we need to see it from the front and side. Think of it like a mug shot.
