Caradco Awning Window Hardware

Handy Person from New York
I have two Caradco awning windows (I assume they are Caradco as the rest of the windows are in this 13 year old house) that need replacement crank mechanisms. I can attach photos of the elements I currently have in hopes of finding a good match for replacement. The internal worm gear mechanism in is stripped where it screws to the body of the housing. 39-312 appears to be what I need, though I might have to adjust the opening in the wood to accomodate the different shape. The track is the same.

The armss are about 12 inches each.
The crank housing is about 5 inches wide and 1 1/4" deep on the interior.
The guide on the window is about 26 3/4" inches.

Thanks.

The 39-312 seems to be the closest operator we have to your existing hardware.

OK, thanks. Last question. Is the 39-512 channel guide compatible with this in case the existing one on the window is not compatible? Based on the dimensions, it looks like I would need 2 per window? Thanks. What are the return policies for unused items in case these are not good replacements?

I am sorry, I am pretty confused. Can you please send a new photo pertaining to this last question. I want to see the operator out of the window with all the hardware pertaining to it.

Thank you. So this is a product not yet available on your website? I really need to get an order in ASAP for a quantity of two of these for this Caradco awning window. Thanks.

Thank you. I actually took it off the window today and it is a Truth part with a number 45206 on the bottom. The one you show above sure looks like it. I'll compare it more closely now that I have it off the window. Thanks.

I seem to have this same operator for Caradco awning windows and am looking for a smaller handle so that may install blinds. Any suggetions. The only number i can find is on the scissor bars that push the window out is 30895a installed 2001.

The customer above replaced their operator and handle together, using the Swisco 39-348 Awning Replacement Operator and the corresponding handle, the 39-205 Folding Crank Handle. Take note, the 39-205 Handle is a folding handle which may make way for your blinds.
