I had my house painted recently and the painters removed the window hardware to trim them. I noticed that they did not replace the lock keepers on 2 casement windows. So the windows do not now fully close which is a bit of a problem up here in northwest NJ in winter. My question is can I use the casement window lock keeper product code 38-089 as a replacement on a Caradco casement window?

Thanks for posting! It would depend on what your current window locks are. Could we see a few pictures of your existing casement window locks? This will help us determine the best possible choice for a replacement keeper.

Tom,
Looking at this keeper I would now say that Item #38-079 may be the correct keeper.

Hi John, It does appear to look like SWISCO product 38-079, compare the depth of your keeper to ours:
Profile view of 38-079
Does it measure 7/8" as shown?
