Is it possible to purchase only the plastic roller and rivet on the window crank arm? I have numerous casement windows I can't open beyond the removal area in the track or when closing the roller comes out of the track and I have to remove the screen or go outside to close the window. If not is there a way to replace the hardware without taking the wood frame apart?

If your roller is coming loose or worn out, it is possibly time to replace the operator. They are not that hard to replace. What you have to do is to remove the inside bottom sill trim cover. Be careful not to damage it, it is usually attached by small trim nails. After you remove the cover, the screws which secure the operator will be exposed. You might want someone familiar with window repairing to help you do the job. If you get stumped, we'll be glad to look at any pictures. Attach images to your reply so that we can take a look at what you have.

I have built many caradco csmts in my time and normally when the operator is popping out in the center of the track, it can be easily corrected by simply bending the operator arm up ever so slightly. This will put tension on the track and it will not pop out anymore.
