Caradco replacement crank doesn't fit

Question

I received the Caradco replacement window crank. It would not close the window all the way upon installation. The two arms on the mechanism set differently into the gears than on the original and therefore position the window differently relative to the crank . I've attached a photo.

Can you match the gear/arm configuration?

I'm not sure what it is you're trying to describe. The operators look to be the same. The position of the arm can be adjusted simply by turning the crank like you would to open the window. Could that be all you need to do? Watch the video below for some more information.
