Thanks for writing in! Your casement operator reminds me of our 39-187 and its opposite handed version 39-188. To determine if this is the right fit for your window, carefully look over the dimensions below.

The brackets you are referring to, located at the top and bottom of the window, are the hinges. To be able to make the most accurate recommendation, I'll need to see a clearer photo of what they look like. The black slider piece connected to them cannot be removed, so you'll need to replace the entire hinge.

Dimensions for 39-187

In the meantime, take a look at our 36-048. The measurements are not very likely to match yours and there is a chance you'll need to drill new holes, however, these should work well providing the measurements are close enough. Keep in mind, you'll need to change both the top and bottom hinge at the same time to ensure the window continues to function properly. These can be used for both the left and right side of the window.
