Casement Window Locking mechanism

Hello.  The handle on a couple of my casement window locking systems comes off easily (it is not secured).  What do I need to fasten the handle to the window so it can function?

I'm not sure why your lock handle is coming off so easily. There must be something behind the escutcheon to keep it in place. Whatever that part might be, it is likely broken.

To verify, I suggest that you remove the entire assembly from the window to get a better look at what's damaged. You won't be able to determine anything so long as it's still in the window unfortunately.
