Casement Window Operator extension

Question

Hi,

I would like to add an extension to my handle. The window is over our kitchen sink and also has a long window sill. Can I do this with my existing operator. If so, what parts do I need to purchase. If I can't, how do I know what replacement operator to choose along with the appropriate extension parts.

Our 39-422 is a 2" extension, so that's one possibility. You can add them together if you want it to be longer. That said, I don't know if this will help you, distance wise. The extension will be coming off the operator in an upward direction. You have an aluminum awning window and that type of operator is the only one that works on that specific window. There may not be much you can do. It seems like a design flaw in the window.
