Casement Window crank mechanism, looking from outside-right side.

Home Owner from NY

I purchased 2 casement windows from Home Depot. The manufacturer's name is Silverline. The crank mechanism gears got stripped, and I need that unit replaced. The numbers I have from the receipt are:

7500 Series Casement 50-1/4" x 35-1/2"

SKU#   515-664

I'm looking for sepeate pricing on the mechanism and the handle. I hope I've given yoiu enough information for you to work with. Let me know if you need more info. See pictures attached

Thanks

Jim

Thank you for your patience during this busy season. What you have here is the old GU operator. They stopped making this a long time ago, but the good news is that we found a functional alternative. The catch is that it takes some handiwork on your end to get working. You may want to consider hiring a professional to do it for you.

The video below will explain all the parts and steps that are required.

Attached are pictures of the crank handle I received on Order 3535195, Item 39-514 and 39-114L. As you  can see, it doesn't match up to my old crank. I'm looking for it to match to Silverline GU split arm operator (Right Hand), for a 7500 series casement window SKU number S-36  516R-HWM. Please advise your thoughts, and if you can help me. Also, if you can quote me on a new GU split arm operator as in the pic.

Thanks

I'm sorry to hear there was trouble with your order. Can you kindly specify what was different between the two handles? They look very similar to me. It does appear that your old one is folding instead of straight, but I'm concerned that there may be other differences, as well. I don't want to jump the gun. If you can tell me exactly how they differ I can make a recommendation.

Regarding the GU operator, it won't be possible to quote you one of those, new or otherwise. As I mentioned in my last response, these don't exist anymore. You need to follow the video guide I shared to convert your window to use new hardware.

This won't be an easy or quick project. If you aren't familiar with this kind of work, you may want to contact a professional to do it for you.
