Casement crank

Home Owner from Los angeles
Hi there - this crank works but the one on the other side is broken and I need to replace the whole mechanism I guess? The arm on the inside is about 7.5" long, with a 1.5" bend on it.
some other measurements

Box - screw to screw -5.25”; inner box -3.25” w x 1.5” d X .75” h

The windows themselves are steel. Is there any way I can replace the handle on the one that does work (pictured) with a handle that folds in? And then replace the whole mechanism on the other window to match? Or find a handle that doesn't stick out so far? The window sill is 3" deep so I'd like a handle that can sit inside of it without poking out. But I can't tell if the ones with the recessed handles only work for certain brands of window or not. Thank you!

This operator appears very similar in design to our 39-001. I think this may be the part you want but look it over and see what you think. We also sell the 39-002 for the opposite side.
