Casement handle troubles

Quick Learner from Tryon, NC
I recently bought a new home that has several casement windows. The crank handles are missing, so I cannot open the window and don't know what brand they are. We've tried several crank handles and none are the right size. I see that you have three spline sizes, maybe more. 11/32, 5/16 and 3/8. Are there any other sizes? Is there a way to determine, or at least narrow down the spline without the crank handles?

Thanks.

Thanks for contacting us! There may be other spline sizes, but if there are then they would be so uncommon that we can safely ignore them. There is a very good chance you have one of the three sizes you named.

Do you know the name of the manufacturer who made your windows? That would offer a clue. Check the operator arms and base for any branding, as well.

Finally, whether or not you can find any names, I recommend that you show us a photo of the operator. Seeing a clear picture of the complete mechanism, including the base and arms, would give us a pretty good idea of what you're working with and what we can use to replace your handles.
