Casement hinge attachment

I recently purchased the 36-048 2-Bar Hinge Set for my casement windows. The old hinge rusted apart. The problem is that the new hinge has a hole to fit around a peg but the old peg looks to be inseparable from the old rusty hinge. How can I secure the new hinge to the frame?

You should be able to just screw the 36-048 to the frame of your window. Make sure to remove the old hinge from the frame in its entirety, first. The video below will go into more detail.
