Casement operator replacement

I am looking for a casment operator replacement for a window. It looks similar part #39-187 the Sash dyad Crank 5. The screw holes are at 5" separation but the arm on my unit is only 4.5" as noted in the picture. Will part# 39-187 still work? Any advice is appreciated.

Hey there. Yes, we've seen this issue before. Unfortunately we are not aware of a version of the 39-187 with a shorter link arm. You have three options. First, you could try installing the new operator as is--depending on the window, it might work fine. Second, try re-positioning the stud bracket on the window sash to make up for the difference. Finally, you could drill out the old and new arms, and place the old arm on the new operator with a rivet like the 62-014B. Let me know if you have further questions.
