Casement operators

Home Owner from Newport Vt

Windows are at least 35 years old. The cranks just seem to stop working. They might've been forced. Not sure what needs to be replaced.

I have two right and two left opening casement windows that need to be fixed.

Do you need to see the part/ arm that opens the window

Thanks

Hey Cary. When that gear pops out with the crank handle, that means the entire operator mechanism has broken down and should be replaced. We can help, but we'll need to see the entire mechanism, including the link arm(s) that push and pull the window sash. A bird's eye view, with the window open so I can see everything, should suffice. We'll do our best to ID what you need from there!

Bob thanks so much for your patience...

I'm back at the house and taking pictures.

The inner dimensions of the window are 30x62.
I've attached some pictures to help you determine what I need..

Hi again Cary. These look like the 39-031 and 39-032 Dual-Arm Operators to me. For new covers and handles also, see the 39-107 and 39-114L. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks so much.

In the last month 4 more windows have failed. When it rains it pours. All of the windows are different sizes. I'll send pictures.

Best

I'm sorry to hear that, Cary, but we're here to help with any other repair jobs you may have. You can upload your photos here for me to review at your convenience.
