Casement sash lock keeper template

A quick learner from Madison WI says:
Hi, I bought entry guard sash locks to replace my discontinued original locks. The location of the casement sash keeper will have to be changed to accommodate the replacement. The technical documents say to use 91674 - Template. Where can I find 91674 - Template. It's not on the truth hardware site.

Thanks,
Heather

Hey Heather. if you recently changed an older lock to a newer version like our 38-097, you will need to update the keeper as well for it to work. See our 38-079.

A quick learner from Madison WI says:
Yes, I have the new keepers. They require a new location. The old ones were mounted to fit into the center of the old lock, the new ones seem to fit near the bottom of the new lock, thus I need to use 91674 - Template. Where can I find 91674 - Template. It's not on the truth hardware site.

Thanks,
Heather

Customers have used the 38-097 Lock along with the 38-079 without needing a template. So in your case, I'm wondering if the 38-097 is in fact not the replacement lock you need. Can you send us a photo of your original lock? That will help clear this up.
