Casement window crank

The place was built in 1988 and the windows were probably from that time. I'm having trouble closing the window completely. I think the issue is with the crank.

Hey there! It sounds like the gears on your casement operator are stripped. If so, then you will need an all new operator.

We can likely recommend a replacement but I'll to see a photo of the entire operator to provide you with a recommendation. This will require removing the original so that we can see it without any obstructions.

I recommend taking a look at the video I've included below. This may give you an idea of what you'll need to do to remove your operator. Let me know if this does not help.
