Casement window crank replacement needed

Quick Learner from Pittsburgh
Hello,
I am missing the (correct) crank for this casement window. The post appears to be 1/4" or 5/16" in diameter. I am not sure of the brand of window, maybe Traco?

Hey Patrick. These spline dimensions are very discrete, going into the X/32" range, so a difference between 1/4" and 5/16" is non-trivial. If the diameter of the hole that accepts the spline is 11/32", then something like our 39-114L could work. If in doubt, please send a clearer picture of the entire operator, including whatever arm(s) come out of its back and connect to the window sash. That will help narrow down your options in more detail.

I measured the shaft and spline of the operator linkage with a caliper and got the following dimensions: 0.3250 inches for the outermost width of the splines, and 0.2645 for the shaft itself, minus the splines; in metric it appears to be 8.27mm and 6.59 respectively. It is possible these are Traco windows, like the other windows in this unit.

We believe your spline should be 11/32" but could you show us a photo of your operator with the window open so that the arms that move the sash are fully visible? Once we can identify the operator, we can determine which handles are compatible with your assembly.

Ok, here are some photos of the window opened with some views of the operator. Does this help to identify it? I can make out a brand name "Truth" on the mechanism...

That's perfect, thank you. Your operator looks akin to our 39-187, which indeed has a 11/32" spline and therefore will work with a crank handle like our 39-114L. Let me know if you have any other questions.
