Casement window hardware

Quick Learner from Patterson, NY
Hi, I have a few casement window that won't fully seal when closed. The bottom corner of the hinge side pops out. It looks like the black plastic slider on the bottom is no longer attached to the corner of the window. Not sure what holds it there or if it rusted out. The windows are metal industries, from a house built in 1994. They said they don't make those windows anymore and don't have the hardware, so they referred me here. Just looking for help fixing and identifying any replacement parts needed. I'll attach some pictures.

Thanks,

Mat

So, assuming that the top and bottom hardware are the same, it looks like I just need the piece that attaches to the corner of the window and holds the plastic slider to the window. I've attached more pictures showing the top hardware of the same window. I'm assuming that the metal piece is the same type of piece that rusted away on the bottom of the window.

Hi there, Mat.

Thank you for reaching out to us. It sounds like you need a new hinge. You can use one of our modern versions to replace yours as long as you replace the top and bottom at the same time. Can you tell me the length of the track that's attached to the sill?

Thanks for confirming! I recommend you start by taking a look at the 36-048. Look over the specifications and see how they compare with yours.

Note that you always want to replace the top and bottom hinges at the same time.
