Are you referring to the vertical bar on the diagram above? If so, if that's only off by 1" then I think it'll still work okay. Just as long as you make sure to replace the top and bottom at the same time, to ensure that the sash has an even operation.

I've never known that to be an issue, specifically. There are probably a ton of other differences, too, which is why we recommend replacing these in pairs. These differences really only come into play if you try to mix the original hardware with the new hardware. That would lead to an uneven swing action and the window would not open or close properly, if at all. 

As long as the hinge track is the same size (14", in this case) and as long as the top and bottom hinges are the same design then I am optimistic that this set will work for you. They won't be identical to the original hardware in several aspects, but that won't matter since you're changing the whole hinge set.
