Casement window lock

Quick Learner from Port Townsend Washington
Hello I have a series 700 C-C45-96X60 window with a broken latch. It was installed 2004. Can you tell me if parts are available for this unit?
Thank you Randy

Hello there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. This lock reminds me of the 38-096 and 38-139. Take a look at the dimensions and see how they compare with yours. Note, pay close attention to the projection of the locking fork. That's an important dimension.

Thank you for the info on the window latch. I believe the latch broke because there was too much pressure required to activate the latch. Is there any way to adjust the pressure? I don't see any adjust the blocks on the window frame.

I'm afraid there isn't. If too much pressure was required to open it then it's not some failure of design. It means something was preventing the lock from triggering. It could possibly be the tie bar stuck on something or something is clogging the works. Note that this is in addition to numerous other possible explanations, too, of course.
