Casment Window Operator

Home Owner from phoenix, arizona

Can you suggest a similar replacement operator for *through the screen* wood casement window operation? This one is probably from the 1940's. It is a circa 1930 home, I am looking for old school replacement operators - they must work through the screen.

Thank you!

Thank you for posting and adding your picture!

To get started, take a look at the Swisco 39-268 Wood Casement Window Operator.

Yes, I was looking at 39-268. Is the crank removable, so that you can just pull it out and push it back in at will?

The casement windows have wood framed screens that sit on the inside of the sill. There is a hole through the bottom of each screen frame that the crank fits through. The crank must be easily removable - I can't tell from your photo or drawing how the 39-268 crank works... whether it detaches easily or not.

Thank you.

Thanks for getting back to us! Yes, the crank bar for the 39-268 Wood Casement Window Operator does come in and out fairly easily.
