Center piece

A quick learner from CO says:
How long are the screws supposed to be that hold the outdoor handle and center plate
Bought new center plate because they keep snapping but screw won't fit now

The 82-080 and 82-081 4-15/16" Handle Sets come with two different pairs of fasteners and are meant for doors up to 1-3/8" thick. I am not sure if that's your issue here. The 82-108 Mounting Plate is meant to replace the mounting plate for the inner pull of this handle set, which has three parts: the pull, the base for the pull, and then mounting plate itself, which attaches directly to the door. Many older versions of this handle set can't work with the new mounting plate for a variety of reasons related to dimensions. Perhaps the new mounting plate is thicker than your original, or perhaps it's the wrong size altogether. Depending on the thickness of your door, you might be able to find new screws at a hardware store. Otherwise though, you may need to instead opt for an all new handle set (again, either the 82-080 or 82-081). Let me know if you have further questions.
