I think I need two (left and right) SWISCO Series 170 Coiled Balance Spring measures 3/4" wide and has a short tongue. But I'm not sure what stamp so I can order the right one. attached are pictures of my bathroom window that is overall 36" high x 27" wide. Both left and right inside or lower coiled balance springs are broken.

Thanks for posting. I agree, this looks like the Certainteed 15-192, which uses Series 170 Coil Balances (as well as Series 171 balances, if you need more than one spring on each side of the window). If there's no stamps on the old springs, please weigh the window sash. Give me that exact weight, and I'll be able to work out the springs you need.

Bob,

Thank you for the help and with a luggage scale the window is about 10 pounds. I think this window only has one spring but in the pictures it looks like two since the spring boke and is in two pieces. Let me know if you need anything else from me and thanks again for all of your help and input. Tom Fontana.

I'm happy to help and thanks for confirming the sash weight.

You'll need the S170-405 Coiled Spring Balance. One for each side to support the weight of your 10lb window.
