Thanks for posting. Before I can recommend an applicable replacement lock, could you first give me your dimensions? I would especially need to know the distance between the screw hole centers, as well as the screw hole offset, also measured by the hole center. Let me know!

Tom,
the screwholes are 2 &1/8" apart on center; the center is offset from the front edge (where certainteed is stamped) by 1/4"

thanks,

Mike

Great, thanks, Mike. How about our 90-274? This looks like it might meet your requirements. The offset I needed was from the back edge, though. Sorry for the confusion. For the 90-274, that would be 11/16". How does that match yours?

11/16" perfect. Then, I can just order on the web, correct? Or would a local distributor stock this ...either nearby to zips 18901 (Doylestown) or 18103 (Allentown area)?

Great! I'm glad it matches up. You can purchase directly from our site. Simply add the part to your cart and then click "Checkout." I'm not sure if there is a local distributor in your area who may carry our hardware.

ordered it.

thanks for your help...great system too

Tom,

I bought two 90-274, but I think I need something different. The body with the latch does mount correctly. However the catch does not replace the existing catch and the body will not work with what it mounted. I can not mount the new catch on the window.

The existing catch is on the right in the attached picture. It is stamped on the back PA 95

The numbers are stamped in a circle.

Thanks,

Mike

Ah, I see. That's too bad. But maybe we can find a face-mount keeper for you that works with our 90-274. What is the distance between mounting holes, center-to-center? That will help us find sometihng.
Handy Person from Doylestown, PA
As best as I can measure the holes, center to center, are 3/4".

The entire keeper is 1&1/4" wide; 1&1/2" high

Thank you for your continued patience. Unfortunately, we've been unable to locate a keeper that's exactly like yours. The closest possible match I can find is our 90-041. It can work with the 90-274, but its dimensions are a little different than yours. You may have to drill new holes. What do you think? Can you get it to work?

You may also want to consider our 90-237. This also works with the 90-274 lock.

how would i choose between the 90-041 and the 90-237?

It's hard to say. Either way, you will have to drill new holes in your sash, so you should take a look at how much space you have and see which would be a better fit. If either could work, then it's simply a matter of preference.

If you do decide to go with either of these locks, just make sure you're careful when you drill. You don't want to cause any damage to the glass.

the keeper I am replacing is 1.5" high; 1&3/8" wide

what are the dimensions of the 90-041?

Our 90-041 is approximately 1-5/8" high, and the width varies. At its widest, at the top part, it's 1-11/16". The very bottom of it is approximately 1-1/4".
