Hi! I need to replace these balances in my window. I'm confused by the numbers stamped on the coil. Also one says "16" on it and the other says "4"..

I recommend the 15-192 pivot shoe, as well as the Series 170 coil spring. The video below will show you how these parts work together.

Concerning the stamp, it looks like they're stamped with 407, which doesn't match either stamp you mentioned in your post. Can you confirm?

Yes, the springs are stamped 407. The 16 and 4 are on the plastic body. What does the 407 signify? Just curious for future projects. Thanks a ton for the recommendation! I will be ordering the parts this evening! Thanks for the fast response as well! These type of situations for me are a pain in the butt usually and your company made it extremely easy for an average guy like me to get my project done! Much appreciated!

You're very welcome, of course! You can ignore the numbers printed on the shoe itself, those are just markings from the mold. They aren't important for your purposes.

The 407 stamp is, however. This code actually represents two pieces of information. The "40" represents the travel of the coil itself in inches, meaning it can extend to about 40". The "7" indicates how much weight each individual spring carries, in this case 7 pounds. That also tells you that your sash is 14 pounds, assuming you only have one spring per side.
