Certainteed Awning window 45.5"x19.5" window crank only works in one direction

Question

Hi.   I have a video of this crank in action.   It will open the window, but on reversing the direction of the crank, it just unscrews itself, and the window does not move.   I can close the window by pushing from the outside while lightly turning the crank inside.

Hello! It looks like the worm gear stripped out. You'll definitely need a new operator.
