Certainteed Double Hung Window

Handy Person from 97007
This is about a 20yr old window. This is the top half of the double hung window.
The weather stripping needs replacing but can't remove the latch to slide out the stripping. No other markings but the window name. Have removed the screw but can't determine how to remove the latch now. Once removed need to determine the weather stripping. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out to us. That's odd. Once the screw is removed, it should be able to come out. Please allow me to consult one of our senior experts and we'll reach back out once we have more information.

After removing the screw, use a flat instrument like a putty knife wedge under the front part of the latch to unsnap the locking pin. You can see the locking pin on the additional images of the 26-317 tilt latch store page.
