Quick Learner from Kent, wa. 98031
Certainteed new castle xt sliding door, double mortise lock does not lock when closed. Also unable to remove the lock from the door. Have not tried Xtra forceful removal. No markings on the visible portion of the lock. The door jamb sticker is as follows: Certainteed New Castle XT, New Haven French Door, SGD-LC25 96x96, SGD-LC35 96x82. The lock is 7" long, 6-3/8" between screw hole centres. Face plate is 9" long, 7-3/4" between screw hole centres.

Thanks for reaching out to us! The lock you are searching for reminds me of the 82-238 Double Hook Mortise Lock. To determine if this is the correct replacement, take a look over the dimensions and compare them to your existing lock. See if this will work as a replacement for your repairs.

The faceplate is the exact fit. The lock is a little short 6-11/16" vs 7" currently. The 82-238 appears to measure from a third hole which on my current lock is just a non-threaded hole that does not align with any hole on the faceplate. The non-threaded hole aligns with the 82-238 5-1/4" measure in the same location. How do we order?

To my knowledge, there is only one variation of this particular mortise lock, so I do believe this should be the replacement you need. You can place the order for them on the website using any one of the links provided in this thread or below it, at your convenience.
