Certainteed balance feet and shoes

Question

Hi. I ordered parts for another CertainTeed window some time ago. I have another Certainteed window now with broken balance feet. The feet are too corroded to read any parts numbers. Most of the parts I have from previous order appear to match this window, except for the pivot bars. The broken ones look very different than the ones I ordered last time.

Please confirm if the parts I have on hand will match the broken ones in the photos. And if the Pivot bars in the photos are available, can you help me find them?

Parts I have from the previous order are:

- 26-175 Pivot Bar (looks VERY different than the broken one)
- 15-156 Lance Spring Cover
- 15-157 Drum
- 15-192 Pivot Shoe
- S171-405 coil
- S170-405 coil

Hello,

I agree that your hardware resembles the Certainteed 15-192 pivot shoe, which uses the S170 and S171 coil springs, along with the parts listed under the related items section of the 15-192 product page. You would need to remove the coil springs from the window to determine if the stamp code matches the 405 strength option that you purchased previously. Also, please note that some customers have reported that they needed to shave the front of the pivot shoe down to install it in the window jamb.

As for the pivot bar, unfortunately, I can't be sure of what you need since the part shown in your photos is broken. If you could show us an intact version of the part removed from the other side or an identical window in the house, that would help us point you in the right direction. In the meantime, take a look video that shows the old-style version of the 26-175 that you purchased, as well as the 26-353 CertainTeed pivot bar that we carry. Thank you!
