Certainteed tilt latch

Thank you for contacting us! The 26-317 is a surface mount latch. However, there are some windows where the latches are installed under a strip of vinyl that runs completely along the top of the sash. In that case, you would need to unscrew the lock and take off the thumb buttons, tilt the window in and slide the strip off either side to access the latches.
