Certainteed window parts
I am missing the latch/lock on the top of a window and the two parts that hold the top of the bottom window into the frame/the part used to remove the window-tip forward. I am also trying to find the appropriate brush like strip to replace on many of the screens and many of the windows.
Thank you,
Dan
Dan, thank you for submitting your inquiry to our discussion board.
In order to assist you with replacement parts, we will need to know a little more information about each part.
Can you please tell us what the distance is between the installation screw holes on the window lock and tilt latch, as well as the height and width of the wool pile?
This information will help us more accurately recommend replacement options for you.
The distance between the outside of the screws on the tilt latch are 1.75 inches
From what I can tell on the window with the most intact wool pile with the wool pile in the window the brissles are a quarter inch wide and extend out from the screen approximately 3/8 ths of an inch.
Hey there! I think I can help. Starting with your tilt latches, which are the easiest to ID, I recommend our 26-289 and 26-288. I think you'll agree that these match up to your old parts very nicely.
I'm less sure about the lock. I've seen this one a lot, and while it's no longer made, we usually opt for our 90-161. However, this has a hole spacing of 2-1/16", not 2-1/4". I think the problem is that you're measuring from the outside of the screws, not their centers. Measuring center-to-center is generally recommended for basically anything with screw holes in this industry. Double check that spacing and see if it's more like 2-1/16". If so, the 90-161 is what you want.
I'm afraid we have no wool pile with a 1/4" base, either. I'd definitely double check that. Wool pile measurements are always more specific, going even into the x/32" range. Your base may be more like 7/32" or 9/32". You can see our entire selection here.
